York is a fantastic city all year round with superb attractions to visit. Enjoy the many shops or wander around fascinating streets such as The Shambles with timber buildings dating back to the 13th Century. York is the historic home of chocolate and the annual chocolate festival takes place on Parliament Street with a number of stalls featuring specialist origin chocolates, truffles, eggs, and other chocolate specialities such as cakes, brownies, macarons, chocolate flavoured drinks, liqueurs, and other sweet treats. There is a festival bar and you can watch hands-on demonstrations and take part in chocolate making activities.

Enjoy a trip to the charming seaside resort of Whitby which will be hosting their famous alternative Goth weekend. There will be free time to explore Whitby, a traditional maritime town full of history, pretty cobbled streets and a beautiful blue flag beach. This famous music and arts event brings people from afar, dressed in wonderful costumes, to celebrate the town where Bram Stoker visited in 1890 and found some of his inspiration for 'Dracula’. The Bizarre Bazaar Alternative Market features over 100 stalls selling a variety of gothic items.
