York is the historic home of chocolate and the annual chocolate festival takes place on Parliament Street with a number of stalls featuring specialist origin chocolates, truffles, eggs, and other chocolate specialities such as cakes, brownies, macarons, chocolate flavoured drinks, liqueurs, and other sweet treats. There is a festival bar and you can watch hands-on demonstrations and take part in chocolate making activities.
