What's Included

The compact and bustling historic city of Stirling sits at the proud centre of Scotland’s heartlands amongst rolling hills and lowland greenery.

Day 1: We travel to Stirling for a 4-night stay.

Day 2: A full day to explore the city of Stirling, once the ancient capital of Scotland, with a 2-hour walking guided tour. Discover Stirling’s Old Town with its medieval streets and walk in the footsteps of Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce whilst you hear the tales of battles, kings and queens who shaped this city and Scotland itself. Why not visit the Castle, perched on its rocky crag overlooking miles of scenery in every direction, which is arguably Scotland’s grandest, and the cosmopolitan modern Stirling as well, with its speciality shops and cafes.

Day 3: Today we enjoy a nostalgic journey along the shores of the River Forth on the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway, visit the Kelpies, the world’s largest equine sculptures, which tower 100 feet over the Forth & Clyde Canal, before a trip on the unique Falkirk Wheel, the world’s first and only rotating boat lift.

Day 4: We head to Dunblane and visit the medieval Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century. There are riverside walks along the banks of the Allan Water, whilst the centre of Dunblane exudes an olde worlde charm all of its own. Continue to the popular town of Callander, home to the Rob Roy and Trossachs Visitor Centre and a fascinating toy museum.

Day 5: Time for home.
